Rug Hookers Guardian Angel

Instructor: Gayle Gunby

Every rug hooker requires a guardian angel to watch over their wool stash or studio. Join us on Saturday, February 09, 2013 10 am till 3 pm to make your very own angel. She carries a little bag filled with a piece of burlap, some wool and her very own tiny rug hook.

This is not a beginner class, some rug hooking experience is required

Please bring a 15 x 22 inch piece of burlap with the edges either sewn or taped

A Sharpie marker

Enough wool for your angel's dress, wings and basket

Funky yarn for hair and embellishments if desired

I will supply the following...flesh coloured wool for face and hands, small piece of wool, burlap and rug hook for her basket, and the backing for the angel.

The fee for this class is $40.00 plus HST which includes a light lunch of soup, buns and tea.

Thursday afternoon knit along

On Thursday January 24th we will be starting a new knit along project, we will be doing fiddlehead mittens I can buy the pattern for you, or you can purchase it yourself off Raverly , as usual this will be from 1 to 3 pm and will be for 2 or 3 weeks depending how we get along with it. Please note this is not for beginners, some mitten knitting experience is needed. This is not a class as such more so a group where we all help each other on the project.

As always I would hope you would purchase your yarn from me as there is no cost to join the knit-along.

BEGINNER KNITTING

Instructor: Lynn Stitchman
Learn the basics, cast on, cast off, knit and purl. Make a scarf.
Fee $50.00 & HST Includes yarn and pattern.
Size 5.5 or 6mm needles needed. These can be purchased here at the store
3 week course starting
January 23rd 2013, January 30th and February 6th
Time: 7pm. till 9 pm.

BASIC SOCK KNITTINGInstructor: Lynn Stitchman
Basic knitting knowledge required you need to know how to cast on, cast off,
knit and purl.
You will learn to use double pointed needles
and all it takes to knit a pair of socks.
Fee $50.00 & HST Includes yarn and pattern.
You will need size 3.75mm double pointed needles which can
be purchased here at the store if you don't have them 3 week course starting:
Thursday January 24th 2013 , January 31st and February 7th
Time: 7:00 Pm till 9:00 Pm

Pre registration is required for all classes as space is limited.
