Magic Cake Ruffle ShawlWorkshop leader: Lynn StitchmanDoesn't this sound intriguing!!? This is a great way to use up all those little bits of leftover fingering weight (sock ) yarn. This shawl uses about 150gms of sock weight yarn joined to make a “Magic cake” with a niffy little knot that we will learn. Here is a link to the pattern on Ravelry
These are all sorted into piles by weight and then we will pick our colours for our shawls, learn to do the knot and put them together and start our Magic Cake Ruffle shawls!
We will be using my yarns this time but you might want to make a second or third one with yarns of your own, each shawl will be unique depending on the colours you pick.Basic knitting skills required.Fee: $40.00 includes pattern and all the yarn to knit the shawl3.75mm circular needle required.Wednesday, March 4th from 7 pm til 9 pmUp coming knit alongsPlease note these are knit along's and we will be learning together, there is no fee to attend but I do ask that you buy your wool and pattern through me.The First one is for a Fair-isle-tote which is knit and then felted. This is a great project to learn 2 colour knitting and because it will be felted afterwards, it hides any small mistakes you might make!!

We will work on this Wednesdays from 1 til 3 pm for the month of Feburary starting on the 4th which gives us 4 weeks to finish this. I have lots of colours of Cascade 220 to choose from.
Basic knitting skills required. You also need to have some knowledge of working in the round. You will need a 5mm circular needle for this and also a set of 5mm dpns. Please let me know if you will be joining us as space is limited and I will need to email you a copy of the pattern ahead of time.Children’s sweaterLets knit a childs sweater together! Estelle yarns will be putting out a program to knit this sweater, week by week over 5 weeks with lots of help.We will be starting this on Thurday March 5th 1-3 pm So lets do it together....I will have lots of choices of colours once I receive more info from them. This is a good way to start sweater knitting as it will be small, if you don’t have anyone to make it for there are several groups that the store helps support that would be more than happy to receive them.
They have some information about it and will be posting more on there blog. So go take a look!!Please let me know if you are interested as always space is limited.Happy Knitting Lynn
